The JBL Studio 680 floor-standing speaker is a great place to start when building a system for stereo or surround sound. It starts with JBL’s tried-and-true approach to high frequencies. They famously pioneered the use of horn-loaded compression drivers in speaker arrays at large concert venues — they’re able to fill large spaces with clear sound in a way a standard dome tweeter can’t. The Studio 6 Series continues this tradition by mating JBL’s 1″ compression driver to a High-Definition Imaging (HDI) horn. This proprietary design helps the Studio 680 deliver crystal-clear high frequencies throughout your room, no matter where you sit.

Accurate mids and lows

We know what makes the tweeter special, so what about the rest of the frequency range? Each Studio 680 speaker features dual 6-1/2″ PolyPlas® woofers for accurate mids and lows. Doubling up on these well-made drivers helps the speaker deliver a rich, full soundscape when listening to music or watching a movie. And the cabinet is equipped with a rear port for enhanced bass response.
