Q Acoustics 5010 Compact Bookshelf Speaker

Rs. 86,900.00

Key Features

C³ Continuous Curved Cone™ design in the mid/bass driver ensures smoother high-frequency integration with the tweeter and superior bass dynamics.

Sophisticated, clean and contemporary design with dark acrylic baffle motif mirrors the minimalist C³ Continuous Curved Cone™ profile.

Available in four stylish finishes: Satin Black,Satin White, Santos Rosewood and Holm Oak.

With a design taken from the Concept series but in a new housing, the high-frequency driver is fully hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the front baffle to protect from internal cabinet pressure and resonances from the mid/bass driver.

Ground-up mid/bass driver design delivers increased power handling.

Point-2-Point™ (P2P) internal bracing stiffens the cabinet to minimise lower frequency vibrations, while focusing stereo imaging and improving soundstage

Product Description

Small enough to keep a low profile, but with sound big and accomplished enough to draw attention to itself. If you want off-the-scale performance from a discreet, compact and easy-to-position loudspeaker, the 5010 bookshelf speaker fits the bill as nicely as it fits your space.

Introducing the 5000 family

Between the acclaimed Concept models and award-winning 3000c range sits the 5000 series: 5010 bookshelf, 5020 standmount, 5040 floorstander, 5050 large floorstander and 5090 centre channel. Whether for stereo or home cinema systems, the 5000 sets new standards.

Curve appeal

Its ground-breaking C³ ‘Continuous Curved Cone’ mid/bass driver means the 5000 series delivers audio quality beyond its class. From the precise, clean top end via the eloquent, open midrange to powerful, controlled bass, it sounds exceptional.

Sophisticated looks

The 5000 series arrives in four contemporary and stylish finishes: Satin Black, Satin White, light ‘Holm Oak’ and dark ‘Santos Rosewood’ wood. This continuation of our ‘minimalist’ design language means the 5000 fits easily into any interior design scheme.

Front row design

The baffle fronts are laminated with a layer of butyl rubber and black acrylic trim, not only to provide a damping layer to suppress vibration, but to offer an eye-catching counterpoint to the cosmetically clean front presentation uninterrupted by any fixings.

C³ Continuous Curved Cone™ driver

The advanced C³ profile combines the bass performance benefits of a traditional straight conic cone with the midrange control of a flared design. By creating a continuous curve profile, we’ve achieved excellent dispersion characteristics, well-controlled frequency response and seamless integration with the tweeter. Bass dynamics are improved, low-end control is superior, it’s more forgiving of room position too.

Mid/bass driver design

The cone geometry of the C³ driver requires exceptional motor strength for optimal performance, so substantial magnets are coupled to the voice coils. The control exerted by the large magnets ensures superb dynamic response and headroom along with articulate bass presence. The magnets also reduce harmonic distortion, as they ensure near-saturation of the pole plate and yoke.

High-frequency driver design

Based on the tweeter design principle found in the Concept series, the high-frequency drive unit is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the baffle to prevent internal pressure modulations from within the cabinet and from the adjacent C³ driver. The inner chamber is vented for lower distortion, and has a lower crossover point for seamless integration throughout the crossover region.

P2P™ (Point to Point) bracing

Q Acoustics P2P™ (Point to Point™) bracing used throughout the 5000 series supports the parts of the enclosure that need to be stiffened making the new enclosures exceptionally rigid, improving the focus of the stereo image and giving the soundstage more accuracy than ever before.

HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer)

The 5040 and 5050 are, like all floorstanding loudspeakers, vulnerable to internal build-up of pressure that causes unwanted standing waves and colouration. To prevent this occurring, specially designed HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser™) tubes are fitted inside the cabinet to nullify internal pressure and improve frequency response.
